Information about the organization

The Upper Secondary School “Academia Lope de Vega Sociedad Cooperativa Andaluza” is a
private school with public funding which was established in Córdoba in 1986. Exceeding 400 students
and a staff of about 30 teachers, our school provides a non-compulsory official education to our
students, who are older than 16 years old. Moreover, we have a Guidance Department which works
with our students with specific educational needs supporting their integration.
We also have a team of people who plan and manage all kinds of international projects and
complementary activities for our school.
The main areas where the volunteers will be involved are:
 VET Erasmus+ projects: CES LOPE DE VEGA VET education is enrolled in several
Erasmus+ Projects: students mobilities for work placement (in and out), Erasmus+ KA1
projects, etc. Volunteers will give support to the Erasmus+ Coordination (searching for
opportunities, giving support to students mobilities, collaborating with Erasmus+ KA1 projects
activities and so on).

  •  VET E-Marketing. Volunteers will support it with all the communication and social networking.
  •  Soft Skills VET. Volunteers will give support to students with some extra activities related to
professions such as soft skills, interviews, public speaking, entrepreneurship, employability,
    etc.
  • CES Lope de Vega Language Department. Depending the Languages skills of the volunteers
in English. The volunteer will support the Languages Department with non-formal education
activities to help students to improve their language skills.
  • CES Lope de Vega Co-education activities. The volunteers will support with different activities
the education of girls and boys together.
  • CES Lope de Vega. Volunteers will help out and participate in cultural activities done in and
    out of the School.
  • Volunteer Selection for next course. Volunteers will help in the selection process of next year
    volunteering.

Another important aspect is the development of social and cultural skills, since volunteers will have the opportunity of relating with an enormous number of young people from very different backgrounds and this will provide volunteers with a real view of youth in Spain.

Another learning objective is related to the use of new technologies, as we work with web platforms,
graphic supports, videos, in our different campaigns and activities, volunteers may also develop this
field.

Volunteers will also learn Spanish language because this is our working language. Furthermore, they
can also learn English and German (if they have some basic knowledge of them), as we have contact
with international organizations.

Volunteers will participate in the normal working hours, with the mentor or responsible of the activity.

The mentor will give all the instructions and support to make the volunteering period as much
satisfactory as possible.

Volunteers will have access to computers, photocopies and all the resources from the school.
