Are you ready to be at the heart of the action? We are looking for 25 enthusiastic volunteers to join our European Solidarity Corps (ESC) Team Project in the sunny city of Málaga, Spain!
This is your chance to support one of the most exciting university sports events in the world, organized by the University of Málaga. You will be part of a multicultural team, fostering solidarity and sportsmanship under the Erasmus+ framework.

What will you do? From welcoming athletes from 32 different countries to supporting logistics, media, and event operations during the championship (July 6th–11th), you will be the «beating heart» of the tournament.
What is included? As an official ESC project, your travel costs, accommodation, food, and insurance are fully covered. You will also receive daily pocket money and the official Youthpass certificate to boost your CV.

Volunteer Action Plan: FISU World University Padel Championship 2026
The mission of our 25 volunteers is divided into three main phases: Preparation & Training, Core Event Operations, and Social Impact & Legacy. Below are the specific actions and responsibilities:
- Preparatory & Training Phase (June 15th – July 5th)
Before the competition starts, volunteers will undergo intensive training to ensure the project’s success:
- Team Building & Intercultural Workshops: Activities to foster cohesion among the 25 international volunteers.
- Event Management Training: Workshops on the rules of Padel, FISU protocols, and the specific logistics of the University of Málaga facilities.
- First Aid & Safety Briefing: Basic training in first aid support and emergency protocols to ensure a safe environment for everyone.
- Venue Set-up: Assisting in the branding and physical preparation of the sports complexes.
- Event Operations & Athlete Support (July 6th – July 11th)
During the Championship week, volunteers will be organized into specialized teams:
- Logistics & Transportation Hub: * Coordinating the shuttle system between the official accommodations and the sports venues.
- Acting as «Welcome Officers» at Málaga Airport and Maria Zambrano Train Station for arriving delegations from 32 countries.
- Sports Office & Competition Support: * Assisting the technical committee with match scheduling and court management.
- Providing support in the First Aid stations (under professional supervision) to assist athletes with hydration and minor needs.
- Protocol & Ceremonies: * Organizing the «Victory Ceremonies» and medal deliveries.
- Assisting in the VIP areas and supporting the authorities from FISU and the University of Málaga.
- Media & Digital Communication: * Content creation for official Social Media channels (Instagram, TikTok).
- Assisting international journalists and managing the press zone.
- Social Actions & Community Engagement
As an Erasmus+ / ESC project, solidarity is at the core of our work:
- Cultural Exchange Fair: A space for volunteers to promote the European Solidarity Corps and their own cultures to the local citizens of Málaga.
- Sustainability Patrol: Ensuring the event follows «Green Event» guidelines, managing waste reduction and promoting eco-friendly habits among spectators.
- Evaluation & Legacy Phase (July 12th – July 15th)
- Dismantling & Logistics: Assisting in the final breakdown of the event infrastructure.
- Youthpass Process: Reflective sessions to identify the competences gained during the month and final validation of the Youthpass Certificate.
- Final Reporting: Collaborating on the final project video and documentation for the European Commission.
Key Roles for the 25 Volunteers:
- Team Liaisons: Assigned to specific delegations to act as translators and guides.
- Media Creators: Photographers and social media managers.
- Logistics Assistants: Managing transport, catering, and water distribution.
- Solidarity Ambassadors: Leading the social and environmental actions.
Accommodation and Financial Support
To ensure a comfortable and rewarding experience in Málaga, the project provides the following practical arrangements for all 25 volunteers:
🏠 Accommodation
Volunteers will be hosted in shared apartments located within the city of Málaga.
- Room Distribution: Living in a community is a core part of the solidarity experience. You will stay in a shared room with another volunteer of the same gender.
- Facilities: All apartments are fully furnished and equipped with a kitchen, common living areas, and the necessary utilities to ensure a pleasant stay.
🚌 Local Transport
To facilitate your commute between the accommodation, the sports venues, and the city center, every volunteer will be provided with a local transport card. This card covers bus and/or metro journeys within the city of Málaga, allowing you to move freely and sustainably during your month of service.
💰 Financial Support (Food & Pocket Money)
Following the European Solidarity Corps (ESC) guidelines, volunteers will receive financial support divided into two categories:
- Food Allowance: A total of €150 will be provided to each volunteer to manage their own meals. This allows you the flexibility to cook at home or explore the local Mediterranean cuisine.
- Pocket Money: You will receive an additional €180 as personal pocket money for your private expenses.
- Note: These amounts are for the full duration of the project (one month).
🌴 Holidays & Rest Days
Your well-being is important to us. In accordance with the Erasmus+ and ESC regulations, you are entitled to two days of holiday during this project. These days are in addition to the weekly rest days, providing you with time to relax and explore the beautiful Andalusia region or the beaches of the Costa del Sol.

Who are we looking for? | Volunteer Profile
We are seeking 25 dynamic and highly motivated young people aged between 18 and 30 who are legal residents in Europe or hold a valid status that allows participation within the Erasmus+ framework without a visa.
The ideal candidate must be active, participative, and deeply committed to the core values of sportsmanship and the European Solidarity Corps. Given the nature of a World Championship, we need volunteers who are responsible and prepared for intense working days in a fast-paced environment. Since the event takes place in Málaga during the summer, you should be ready to handle high-temperature conditions while maintaining a positive and professional attitude.
Requirements & Skills:
- Team Players: Ability to work effectively in a multicultural and diverse team.
- Sports Enthusiasts: Prior experience in sports volunteering is highly valued.
- Padel Knowledge: A good understanding of Padel (rules, logistics, or culture) is a significant asset.
