Cooperation, teamwork, empathy, excursions, multiculturalism, communication, inclusive sport… What more can you ask for in Erasmus+ projects, and moreover, organised by Intercambia-EuropaEresTu? Thus, we have participated in this project, ‘Blended Mobility Cosmic – Málaga’, within the programme ‘Strategic Partnership in the youthfield’, which has revolved around inclusion in sport.

They say that magic exists and we have proved it in this Youth Exchange held in La Viñuela (Malaga) in a natural and ecocultural enclave called ‘Conviven’, with participants from Italy, Germany and Spain. We enjoyed a great programme of activities and good practices in a non-formal context where education and enthusiasm go hand in hand. A meeting where we break stereotypes, fears and borders to build a better Europe, a youth with bonds of inner peace and friendship, and an environment where participation and inclusion are encouraged, valuing and empathising with diversity in all its aspects, sharing experiences and networking among our youth organisations, working for and by youth.

We have gone hiking, on excursions to Nerja and Torre del Mar. We have recorded and edited videos showing inclusion through sport. Every day we have done energizing activities to fill us with positive energy and create a teamwork atmosphere, adapted to the mood of the group. We enjoyed intercultural evenings, with typical food, dance and music. In addition, each country has created a workshop of inclusive and innovative activities, encouraging empathy, for example by being blind for a few minutes and learning to be guided by sounds. We also played concentration and cooperation games such as building a tower of glasses without touching them, with ropes and a rubber band. To consolidate what we have learnt, each day we have made an evaluation in an innovative way: with an exhibition, relating it to a meal, or with a theatre performance. We have commented on how the day went, highlighting the positive aspects, things to comment on and things that could be improved. In fact, in each training we had coffee-breaks and moments of free time to discuss the activities and talk to each other.

In the suitcase we took back with us new perspectives on society and diversity, new social skills and improvement of English, and good practices for our organisations, and a family that will remain forever in our memories.

These Erasmus+ projects, funded by the European Union and organised by youth associations and groups, are unforgettable experiences where you leave your comfort zone to enter a new world full of opportunities, meeting people like you, with enthusiasm for learning as a team.

Our heartfelt thanks to the whole Intercambia-EuropaEresTu team for the great programme of activities and for being so attentive to our integration and participation in the programme; of course, we are also very grateful to the venue, the ecocultural space ‘Conviven’, for the great welcome, and to its owner Rafa for the great treatment with us.

Magical!
