SUMMARY

COSMIC is a Strategic Partnership Youth Exchange of Good Practices lasting 24 months focused on promoting youth volunteering as an instrument to contrast discrimination against migrants and refugees among the youth categories and within the hosting societies at large.

TARGET GROUP

Direct

• 30 Young people aged 18-25 of local and migrant origins from each partner country (10 youngsters per partner country).

Indirect

• Participating organisations;
• Stakeholders (NGOs, educational institutions, migrant shelters and associations, public authorities and Municipalities) in partner countries and Europe;

Young people, local communities, migrants and refugees in partner countries and in Europe

OBJECTIVES

• Promote youth volunteering as an instrument to contrast discrimination against migrants and refugees among the youth categories and within the hosting societies at large;
• Set the conditions of youth awareness about racism and discrimination as well as of the active contrast thereof in the field of youth;
• Support the development of cultural awareness and the contrast of prejudice among the youth;

RESULTS

• Manual “Inclusion of Diversity though Bottom- Up Volunteering” that will contain a detailed outline of the activities implemented during the project at the European and local levels;
• Blog “Incl-Hub” that will be developed by participants in the first Blended Youth Mobility in Germany and serve as an open-access, real time diary of the learning process throughout the duration of the latter;
• Web Platform «Contrasting Intolerance Via Youth Volunteering” that will store information, pictures, videos about the project and will integrate digitalized versions of project outputs (Reports and Manual) as well as shortcuts to the Blog.
